With the ongoing digital disruption, digital payments have gained momentum over the recent years. With online businesses and ecommerce platforms upscaling, electronic payments have become the epicenter of transformation in the financial sector. I am glad I am working in an organisation that working at the epicenter of this development.
It’s been a very great experience over the past 3 months. Great place to work, learnt many technologies not only theoretically but also practically. The company believe in investing in training, this is so important especially for freshers. Joining Worldline as a fresher was the best decision I could take.
As part of the programme, I was excited to learn new things and make use of my knowledge in real time setting. The programme had two phases viz. general training and domain specific training. At the end of general training, we were individually evaluated on the hands on knowledge we gained, our strengths analysed and domain/teams were allocated. The second phase was domain specific skillset training on Java stack, .NET stack, Python – AngularJS – VueJS, Oracle & Android app development. The knowledge I gained will help me achieve success on the projects in the future.
I was excited about learning new things, brushing up on my knowledge and making use of it real time. The scale of the organisation was obvious when we had an office induction – about Worldline, various departments, data centers, disaster management facilities, etc. were introduced. Our training programmes were designed and scheduled into two phases – general and domain specific. We had group discussions, with new ideas being the focus. The general training had four online courses, Linux, Web Security, Git & Github, SQL & PostgreSQL. I enjoyed working in a real-time environment.
As part of my domain training, I was assigned android app development. Me and my team were were mentored by a professional with over a decade and half of work experience and expertise in mobile applications. That was great as we got hands-on knowledge of the latest in the world of PayTech.
I finished Btech in Nov 2021, and my aim was to work in a big company. Worldline is a great place to work. Friendly environment, every day I learned new things. Employees feel happy for being respected.
